Large Diameter Taps

These taps over one inch in diameter are used both to tap new holes and clean rough or rusty threads. Frequently the pitch is common to multiple diameters of parts in specific industries. Eight pitch large diameter taps are typically used in oil field and gas exploration, while ten and twelve pitch large diameter taps are key in the power generation industry. Large taps up to six inches in diameter for general applications are available from inventory.
