Fused Deposition Modeling

Fused Deposition Modeling, commonly referred to as FDM, is an additive manufacturing process that offers an array of materials to serve various applications. This system extrudes thermoplastic filament through a nozzle, depositing one layer at a time, according to a specified pattern. As the nozzle continues its course, each layer cools and bonds together with the previous layer, creating the 3D object. FDM is best used for function and durability testing, fixtures and end-use production parts.
