Bag deaeration System

Bag deaeration System

Main benefits

Performance

Today’s operating environment where health and safety requirements are of paramount importance, solutions are required to remove air from the powder before the bag is sealed which also helps for better palletisation.

Versatility

VAKU de-aeration system has been successfully used for many years in the chemical and food sectors.

Cost efficiency

For products with certain handling characteristics the VAKU system is very effective and can result in a 20% reduction in product volume in the bag.

Many of the powdered products encountered in the chemical and food industries readily fluidize and require densification as part of the bagging process, without which the filled bag is unstable and difficult to palletize. In the past simple bag presses have been used, however in today’s operating environment where health and safety requirements are of paramount importance, solutions are required to remove air from the powder before the bag is sealed.Premier Tech has several techniques to successfully handle these types of powder, these include the Bottom-Up Filler and various bag posing systems. However the VAKU de-aeration system has been successfully used for many years in the chemical and food sectors. This system utilizes the VAKU lance, which can either be integrated into the filling system or used as a standalone unit. The VAKU lance typically comprises of two probes, which are inserted into the filled bag. A vacuum is then applied for a pre-set time and the air-flow is briefly reversed which allows the probes to be easily removed. For products with certain handling characteristics the VAKU system is very effective and can result in a 20% reduction in product volume in the bag.VAKU lances are made of porous materials such as sintered metal or plastic, in either food grade or non-food grade quality.
