BRAKES FOR BLDC AND STEPPER MOTORS

Nanotec offers two types of holding brakes: Permanent-magnet brakes and electrically operated spring-loaded brakes. They are designed for an operating voltage of 24 VDC and have a holding torque from 35 to 200 Ncm. All brakes are wear resistant and also suitable for operation in harsh environment conditions (IP54). 

The Nano brake module (PWM controller) reduces the power and heat losses oft the brakes by 35%, thus increasing the running time and the service life of the motor. An external anti-surge diode is not required.
