The cutter heads of the chipper VM 35 have a diameter of 585 mm. They are designed for a cutting depth of 120 mm. The chopping knives are arranged in two stages. The number of chopping knives depends on the feed, speed and the desired wood chip length. It varies from two to four knives per level. With the integrated guide plate and the canter infeed and outfeed rollers arranged directly in front of and behind the cutter head, wood lengths of up to a minimum of 1.2 m can be processed with high quality. The design of the cutter head allows high speeds and thus feed speeds of over 200 m/min.
