Lube Oil Cooling Systems

Many processes such as power-generating turbines use lube oil to reduce the friction between moving mechanical parts and carry heat generated by those components away from the system.

The lube oil must be cooled to maintain an optimum oil temperature such that the oil does not break down and continues to prevent damage to the mechanical parts. The oil must be kept clean throughout the process to ensure proper operation of the moving parts so the lube oil coolers are flushed to a stringent cleaning specification defined by API-614 before leaving our factory.

Because oils are more viscous than other fluids, our Lube Oil Cooler uses turbulators inside the tubes to turn the oil which breaks down the fluid boundary layer at the tube wall. The result allows the fluid to have more contact with the tube surface and transfers more heat to the fins which is dissipated to the air blowing over the fins

Our Lube Oil Coolers typically range from 18’’ x 18’’ up to multiple bays that are 15’ wide by 16’ long. They are also customizable for any project you may have at hand. Our product can withstand up to 400°F.
