The month of May was the hottest on record for many places in central and northern Florida.

From no-cost to low-cost tools, programs and aids, customers have a menu of options to help them reduce expenses.

"Duke Energy serves diverse communities, so we focus on offering a wide range of programs to help customers control their energy use and save money," said Melissa Seixas, president of Duke Energy Florida. “It is important that we meet customers where they are. We are here to help, when customers need us most.”

Take advantage of Consumption Alerts

Customers can better predict what they will spend on electricity by reviewing Usage Alerts that arrive midway through the billing cycle. By enrolling your smart meter and email address, customers are automatically enrolled in a Consumption Alerts notification that alerts you how much electricity is being used and how much it may cost, while providing enough time to make adjustments.

Use our website or the  Duke Energy app to track your energy usage by the hour, day or week. The goal is to see when energy consumption increases and adjust habits that may be causing it. Simply log in to your online account or create one here .
