Emerson's New AVENTICSTM Series 625 Sentronic Proportional Pressure Control Valves

Emerson has unveiled the AVENTICS™ Series 625 Sentronic Proportional Pressure Control Valves, promising precision with a control deviation of less than 0.5%. These valves are engineered for advanced pneumatic control applications, delivering highly accurate electronic proportional pressure control. They come with Data Acquisition Software (DaS), allowing users to quickly start up, monitor, and control the valves directly from a PC.

"Precision and control are paramount in high-accuracy equipment like flame cutting and laser eye surgery," said Nicolas Jacquet, Director of Product Management for Emerson's discrete automation division. "The Series 625 Sentronic valves are designed to precisely regulate pressure, flow rate, power, speed, distance, and angular positions. They are a key component of the AVENTICS portfolio, which includes cylinders, valves, air preparation units, and pressure regulators, essential for factory automation."

Available in four sizes ranging from 1 millimeter to 20 millimeters, the valves cater to a wide range of flow rates from 55 liters per minute to 4,700 l/min. They can handle pressures from vacuum levels up to 50 bar, reducing the number of valves needed in machine designs. The valve housing is available in brass, aluminum, or stainless steel, and the sealing materials come in nitrile (NBR) or fluoroelastomer (FKM). Connector options include M12 5-pin, M12 8-pin, and M16 7-pin.

As development and manufacturing timelines shorten, quick startup and dependable, controllable manufacturing processes are increasingly critical. The DaS software allows operators to diagnose, control, repair, and configure valves individually. It also supports cascade controls for applications requiring exceptional precision and complex control loops. The software offers extensive diagnostic and monitoring features, including input pressure, commanded pressure, internal temperature, and Ethernet communication.
