Litmus Automation Announces Distribution Partnership With Westburne

26 July 2017

Litmus Automation, an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform provider, today announced they have entered a distribution partnership for LoopEdge and Loop with Westburne, a Rexel company.  Rexel is the largest electrical distribution company in the world.  Westburne will sell both LoopEdge and Loop to their customer base, which includes some of the largest heavy industrial companies spanning manufacturing, smart cities, energy and mining.

LoopEdge and Loop provide Westburne with the flexibility to implement state-of-the-art solutions inside of their customers' existing install base of legacy devices and enterprise systems. LoopEdge simplifies the complexity of creating IIoT solutions, providing connectivity at the edge through almost any industrial legacy protocol, management of many gateways at once, and access to a marketplace of applications to process and act on the data being aggregated within the gateway.  Loop is a consolidated IoT platform that securely connects any type of hardware, device, sensor or machine to any 3rd party software application or enterprise system in real-time with an easy-to-use interface.

"We are excited by the flexibility and simple installation of LoopEdge in any environment," said Collette Takacs, IIoT Solution Manager, Westburne. "With LoopEdge we can connect all PLCs and then allow the customer to use the data in any third-party system with one interface to manage the devices."

Westburne is Rockwell Automation's largest distributor, which demonstrates their strength in the IIoT market.  They will sell LoopEdge and Loop to their channels, VARs and large end user customers.

"Partnering with Westburne gives us access to a company with a number of IIoT solutions and sales representatives who understand the industry very well," said Vatsal Shah, Co-founder and CEO of Litmus Automation. "Especially in industrial markets, they see a large percentage of customers trying to implement IoT solutions with legacy devices and applications. With our tools, they can help customers implement IoT solutions within their existing framework."
